Meet the group at the airport and board our flight to Tenerife  

Upon our arrival in Tenerife South we will transfer to the hotel the  4* Alexandre Gala.

Alexandre Gala is set in Playa de las Américas, approximately 100 metres from the beach. This large complex features an outdoor swimming pool. The Gala’s spa has a large indoor pool, and offers a range of hydrotherapy and massage treatments. There is also a hot tub and gym area. 

The air-conditioned rooms are spacious and have a desk and a minibar.

There is a pool bar and cocktail bar. Guests can relax in the Gala’s Chill-Out terrace, which offers views of the Atlantic and the island of Gomera.

The hotel provides evening entertainment and a range of activities throughout the day. The TV lounge has free WiFi.

Throughout the tour we will be staying in twin rooms but there is an option to have a room to yourself for the trip. If you wish to have a room to yourself for the 7 nights the supplement will be £280 The supplement will be payable at the same time as the balance.      

The Travel Buddies trips work on the basis that as long as you are having a good time then that is what matters, if you don’t feel like coming on one of the excursions or joining the rest of the group for dinner one evening then that is absolutely fine. This is an adventure for everyone and there is nothing worse than having to go somewhere/do something that you don’t really fancy!

Feel free to do as much or as little research as you like, some members will know what they would like to visit as soon as they book the trip, Others will just turn up at the airport and have not researched at all. Either is absolutely fine. We all have different ideas as to what constitutes a great time away!

We have the full day to settle in and explore our surroundings today…. There is plenty to do in the area if you feel like being active or sunloungers waiting poolside for those that wish to relax

This evening we will enjoy a guided Sunset & Stargazing Safari with a  3 course dinner in the heart of Teide National Park, one of the Canaries most iconic natural wonders.

After dinner, experience one of Tenerife’s most spectacular sunsets with a complimentary glass of Cava or orange juice, surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes. As the sky erupts in vibrant colour, watch the sun slowly disappear behind the silhouette of Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak at 3,718 metres. It’s a breathtaking moment where extraordinary scenery, unforgettable light and lasting memories come together.

As twilight deepens, prepare to step beyond the ordinary and into the extraordinary. Under some of the clearest night skies on Earth, our guide will  take us on a stargazing and astrophotography journey across space and time. With unrivalled knowledge, warmth, and wit, they weave together mythology, science, and history into an immersive storytelling constellation. Learn the tales written in stars by civilizations past, trace the cosmic forces that shape our universe, and capture spectacular astrophotography moments that will last a lifetime.

Today we set sail from Los Gigantes on a search for dolphins and whales. After spotting these marine creatures we head to the breathtaking cliffs of Masca and Los Gigantes, some of the world’s tallest, reaching a height of almost 600 metres.

Once we drop anchor in the crystal-clear waters of one of the bays we have time to take a refreshing swim before indulging in a paella lunch Throughout the excursion, enjoy drinks, including red wine, beer, Fanta, cola, and water. 

Return transfers to the embarkation port are included. 

Today is a free day to do as we please. There are lots of options to choose from….. We can venture to a nearby beach, visit a beach club or head to the chic, palm-fringed avenue known as the Golden Mile so see the famous Las Americas fountain or enjoy a spot of shopping. 

For water park lovers, Siam Park is just a 17 minute walk from the hotel and there is plenty to keep the adrenalin flowing! experience the thrilling Tower of Power, relax on the white sands of Siam Beach, and float along the winding Mai Thai River. 

For those that would like to do a little island hopping today, let’s take the short ferry to La Gomera Island. Often called the “Magical Island”, this rugged Canary Island is famous for its ancient prehistoric forests, dramatic volcanic landscapes, and historic ties to Christopher Columbus.

We can take the ferry across from Los Cristianos Port to San Sebastian De La Gomera  (around 36 Euros for the return ticket) The port steps directly off into the historic town centre of San Sebastián where we can spend a day walking to local black sand beaches, historical sites (like the Torre del Conde) and enjoy walking/hiking trails. All are easily accessible on foot or by means of public buses.

We are off to enjoy the tastes of the Canaries during a tour that will take us to bodegas where we’ll sample the fabulous gastronomy and wines.

The first stop on the tour is to see the World Heritage city of La Laguna and its fascinating architecture. Head next to the village of El Sauzal and Wine Museum Casa del Vino where we’ll have the opportunity to taste different kinds of cheese and sample the glorious wines.

Then it will be time to move on to the next winery, Bodega Monjes, which features stunning views of the Tacoronte valley and the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll enjoy a 4-course lunch typical of the Canary Islands and have a chance to sample a different wine with every course, all while enjoying fantastic ocean and mount Teide views 

Today we have a last free day to top up our tans, shop for souvenirs or do some more sightseeing. Whatever we fancy.

After checking out and storing our luggage we have the rest of the morning and early afternoon before taking our transfers to the airport for our flight back to the UK.
