Gothic Spires & Ossuary Chills:  Halloween in Prague.

Meet the group at the airport and board our flight to Prague.

Upon our arrival we will take our private  transfer to the hotel the 4* Hotel St George where we will be staying for 4 nights and breakfast is included each morning. 

The Hotel Saint George is set in a renovated historic building dating from the 18th century. It is located 700 metres from Wenceslas Square.

The interiors at the Saint George are elegantly decorated with elegant, comfortable furniture. The spacious rooms all feature satellite TV and a minibar.

We can relax in a lobby area where both WiFi and books are available. WiFi is available in all guest rooms and public areas free of charge.

Throughout the tour we will be staying in twin rooms but there is an option to have a room to yourself for the trip. If you wish to have a room to yourself for the 4 nights the supplement will be £140 The supplement will be payable at the same time as the balance.      

The Travel Buddies trips work on the basis that as long as you are having a good time then that is what matters, if you don’t feel like coming on one of the excursions or joining the rest of the group for dinner one evening then that is absolutely fine. This is an adventure for everyone and there is nothing worse than having to go somewhere/do something that you don’t really fancy!

Feel free to do as much or as little research as you like, some members will know what they would like to visit as soon as they book the trip, Others will just turn up at the airport and have not researched at all. Either is absolutely fine. We all have different ideas as to what constitutes a great time away! 

After checking in we will head out locally for a bite to eat and to get to know the other members of the group. 

This morning we will  walk to  the iconic Charles Bridge  to begin our tour around Prague. 

We will board a tram, to travel up to Prague Castle where we’ll take a walking tour through the castle grounds and learn about its many important landmarks.

Returning across the river to Prague’s Old Town, we will check out the city’s Jewish Quarter to see its synagogues and the Old Jewish Cemetery and at the Old Town Square, enjoy lunch at a restaurant serving typical Czech cuisine.

Board a Vltava  river cruise to see the city from a fresh perspective and then conclude the tour with a visit to the Charles Bridge Museum,

This morning we will make our way to the railway station and get out of the city on a full day tour to Kutna Hora visiting the famous UNESCO Bone church with its  macabre, bone-made interior. The chandelier and furnishings are  made entirely from human bones, and  the interior contains the skeletons of around 40,000 people. 

Enjoy a walking tour of the historic old town and a visit to the magnificent Gothic Church of St Barbara with its echoing interior and frescoes that show medieval miners. 

Please be aware that this is a full day tour that involves a fair amount of walking so it is unsuitable for anyone that has any mobility issues

There will be a lunch stop during the day  ( not included) Train tickets and all entrance fees are included. 

Dinner will be booked locally at a traditional restaurant

Today we have a free day to explore the city as we choose, there are so many things to do and see depending on what you love….. 

This evening we leave the modern world behind us  and step into a candle-lit tavern. Enjoy a meal of five generous courses of medieval-style food (various menus suit different dietary requirements) in a communal, historically inspired tavern-like setting. We will be entertained by talented jugglers, belly dancers, and swordsmen.. Unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks are included. Halloween costumes optional (:

After enjoying breakfast and checking out this morning we have some free time to explore before taking our private transfer to the airport for our flight home.
