Riviera Radiance. Menton and Beyond. 

Meet the group at the airport and board our flight to Nice .  

Upon arrival we will take our private transfer to Menton.

Set in a grand Belle Époque building that dates back to 1859, the Hôtel Vacances Bleues Balmoral blends historic character with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Once a prestigious palace frequented by stars of the stage, it now serves as a bright and airy seaside retreat. Its standout feature is the shaded, wooded garden and terrace that face directly onto the Mediterranean, a perfect spot for a quiet cocktail perhaps, away from the bustle. 

Inside, the rooms are modern and comfortable, while the panoramic dining room offers stunning views over the Bay of Menton, making every meal feel like a special occasion.

Throughout the tour we will be staying in twin rooms with city views but there is an option to have a room to yourself for the trip. If you wish to have a room to yourself for the  4 nights  in a  City view room with a double bed the the supplement will be £200  If you wish to have a room to yourself for the  4 nights  in a  Sea  view room with a double bed the  supplement will be £440 The supplement will be payable at the same time as the balance.      

The Travel Buddies trips work on the basis that as long as you are having a good time then that is what matters, if you don’t feel like coming on one of the excursions or joining the rest of the group for dinner one evening then that is absolutely fine. This is an adventure for everyone and there is nothing worse than having to go somewhere/do something that you don’t really fancy!

Feel free to do as much or as little research as you like, some members will know what they would like to visit as soon as they book the trip, Others will just turn up at the airport and have not researched at all. Either is absolutely fine. We all have different ideas as to what constitutes a great time away! 

After some time to settle in and relax we will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

This morning after a leisurely breakfast we will depart for a private guided full day tour to Eze, Monaco and Monte Carlo.

Enjoy stunning views of the city of Nice and the Bay of Villefranche sur Mer, as well as the peninsula of billionaires, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.

Explore the narrow streets of the  Medieval Village of Eze with its panoramic views of Mediterranean sea.

Discover the history that links Perfume to France by visiting the laboratory factory of the famous and ancient perfume production Company in France,  Fragonard.

Monaco is certainly a small country but with a great history…In Monaco Ville we’ll discover the beautiful buildings of the Oceanographic Museum, the Cathedral of Monaco, the Princes Palace, and the old town. Entrance to the Princes palace state apartments is included.

We cross the famous districts of Monte Carlo to discover the famous “Golden square” where luxury is in abundance…see the Casino of Monte Carlo, the Opera of Monaco, and make a refreshment stop at the famous “Cafe De Paris”, famous for people watching and car spotting. 

Lastly we will take a trip around the famous Formula 1 track with its 19 curves and its famous tunnel.

Hotel transfers are included. 

After some time to refresh we will enjoy dinner locally.

Today we have a free day to do as we please.

Those of us that would like to, can spend time on the beach relaxing. Menton features some of the cleanest and warmest beaches on the French Riviera, offering a mix of sandy spots and pebbles along the scenic Promenade Du Soleil.

If you aren’t a lover of the beach, discover Menton on a little tourist train for a fun, relaxing tour of Menton’s cultural and historical heritage, take a Train to Nice, where the options are endless.

This morning after a leisurely breakfast we will depart for a private guided full day tour to Cannes, Antibes and Nice.

Cannes was originally a small fishing village in Antiquity, which has now become one of the most popular and glamorous seaside resorts in the south of France.

During its history Cannes was known for being the passage of several powers: the Romans, the Saracens and the Spanish…

We visit the historic district perched at the top of the hill, called Le Suquet, to enjoy a magnificent view of the city, its Port and its beaches, its luxury shops and Festival Palais with its red carpet.

In  Antibes, or Antipolis as the Greeks called it when they dominated the entire Mediterranean sea. We  discover the Cap Antibes peninsula and  its  luxurious residences. We will have free time to discover old Antibes, its narrow streets, its Port and its ramparts. And to take lunch,

There are many gorgeous restaurants featuring local products like wines, olives, cheeses…

After lunch we head to Nice to it’s old town with many shops, and the delicious Italian ice-cream Fenocchio with 20 different flavours.

Today after a leisurely morning we can check out and have the early afternoon to work on our tan, explore or do some shopping before taking our private transfer to the airport for our flight home.
