Trip Overview

An ideal Croatian escape awaits us with this perfectly paced, 10-night idyllic island-hopping itinerary. We will begin and end our adventure in this magnificent city of Split, giving us time to settle in before sailing, and offering a relaxing final two nights to enjoy the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace and vibrant Riva waterfront.

Our island journey begins with a scenic morning ferry to the fortified medieval town of Korčula for a relaxing two-night stay, where you can explore Marco Polo’s alleged birthplace and indulge in superb local wine tastings.

Next, we will hop across the water to the famously chic island of Hvar for two nights of seaside glamour, historic fortress views, and upscale dining.

Finally, we will slow the pace with a generous three-night stay on Brač, allowing ample time for sunbathing on the iconic Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) beach, if that’s what you choose, before enjoying the short, convenient ferry ride back to Split.

This itinerary is designed to put you completely at ease: every destination is easily connected by fast catamaran, and the balance of ancient culture, sophisticated dining, and pristine beaches allows you to choose exactly how much or how little you wish to actively do each day.

Day 01 :

Thursday 11th June

Meet the group at the airport and board our flight to Croatia

Upon our arrival in Split we will take our private transfer to our hotel where we will be staying for our initial night before the Island hopping starts the following morning when we are refreshed and ready to explore!

Throughout the tour we will be staying in twin rooms but there is an option to have a room to yourself for the trip. If you wish to have a room to yourself for the 10 nights the supplement will be £450 The supplement will be payable at the same time as the balance.

The Travel Buddies trips work on the basis that as long as you are having a good time then that is what matters, if you don’t feel like coming on one of the excursions or joining the rest of the group for dinner one evening then that is absolutely fine. This is an adventure for everyone and there is nothing worse than having to go somewhere/do something that you don’t really fancy!

Feel free to do as much or as little research as you like, some members will know what they would like to visit as soon as they book the trip, Others will just turn up at the airport and have not researched at all. Either is absolutely fine. We all have different ideas as to what constitutes a great time away!

The Benjamin hotel is perfectly positioned next to restaurants, beaches and shops and we can spend our first evening here relaxing and exploring.

We have not included daily activities as some of the group may prefer to take time out and treat this as a relaxing holiday whereas others will want to see and do as much as they please. We can decide as we go along.

For those of us that would like to let’s head out for a bite to eat locally or a holiday cocktail/mocktail!

Day 02 :

Friday 12th June

This morning we take our catamaran to Korcula and a private transfer to our hotel where we will be staying for 2 nights.

Hotel Lumbarda in Lumbarda offers direct beachfront access with stunning sea views. Guests can relax by the swimming pool with a view, on the sun terrace, and in the lush garden.

Rooms feature air-conditioning, balconies, private bathrooms, and modern amenities.

Guests can enjoy the waterpark and pool bar. For those of us that fancy exploring the surrounding area we can hire bikes from the hotel or take public transport.

Tatinja Bay Beach is just a few steps away, while Villa Rustica Velo Polje is a 12-minute walk.

Day 03 :

Saturday 13th June

Throughout the trip on every island there will be additional excursions that can be booked according to how much/or little we wish to do. So feel free to hit the beach, join in on an excursion or explore the islands by foot, bikes or public transport.

Free day to explore Korcula Island.

Day 04 :

Sunday 14th June

This morning we take our catamaran to Hvar and a private transfer to our hotel where we will be staying for 2 nights.

The 4* Aminess Younique Senses Resort in Vrboska is where we will be spending the next 2 nights with all meals included.

It offers direct beachfront access, a sun terrace, and a lush garden. Guests can relax by the seasonal outdoor swimming pool or enjoy free WiFi throughout the property.

The restaurant serves local, European, and Croatian cuisines, including a barbecue grill. Breakfast options include continental, buffet, vegetarian, and gluten-free selections with fresh pastries, pancakes, and fruits.

Guests can participate in walking tours, aerobics, and cycling.

Other attractions include Grapčeva Cave (18 km) and Starogradsko Polje (6 km).

Day 05 :

Monday 15th June

Hvar town is steeped in history, and sites of interest include the ancient fortress, a Franciscan monastery and St. Stephen’s square, the largest and most beautiful Venetian piazza in Croatia. The bell of St. Stephen’s cathedral rises to four levels, each one more intricate than the last. North-west of the square, lies a labyrinth of charming streets with small palaces, churches and old Dalmatian houses. For superb views of the Adriatic and the Pakleni Islands, climb up to Hvar Fortress.

Day 06 :

Tuesday 16th June

This morning we take our catamaran to Brac and a private transfer to our hotel where we will be staying for 3 nights at our hotel right on the seafront.

Day 07 :

Wednesday 17th June

Free day to relax and explore.

Day 08 :

Thursday 18th June

Free day to relax and explore.

Day 09 :

Friday 19th June

This morning we take our Catamaran back to Split where we will spend 2 nights with breakfast included each morning.

Capital Luxury Rooms Split has rooms with air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and city views, it is perfectly placed for exploring. Each room includes a minibar, refrigerator, and free toiletries.

Day 10 :

Saturday 20th June

Full day to explore Split or spend the day relaxing at the beach.

Day 11 :

Sunday 21st June

This morning we have the whole day to do as we please before taking our private transfer to the Airport for our flight home.

Who is this tour suitable for?

This tour is suitable for Travel Buddies with medium fitness & normal mobility. It involves full days of sightseeing, often on foot, and includes some climbing of stairs, and getting on and off coaches and boats. This tour is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Please be aware that when travelling on minibuses everyone needs to be prepared to sit at the back as well as the front and we are unable to reserve seats on the bus for particular members.

Please ensure that you can manage your luggage at all times as tour leaders are not expected to assist with luggage transportation and at times there may be no porterage available.

By paying the deposit for this trip you are confirming that you are physically able to participate in all aspects of this trip unassisted.

You do not need a visa to visit Croatia if you are travelling on a passport issued in the United Kingdom.
