Itinerary.
We will all meet at the airport in the afternoon and go through security together before boarding our flight.
Upon our afternoon arrival at Colombo CMB airport, we will take our private transfer to our hotel in Negombo coastal town (20min away from the airport), which has long been known as the most popular beach in Sri Lanka, famous for its golden sandy beach.
This afternoon we will enjoy a city tour of Negombo ,a lively coastal town blending history and charm. Visit the bustling Fish Market, serene Dutch Canal, and iconic St. Mary’s Church. Relax on golden beaches and discover colonial heritage at the Dutch Fort. End the day with fresh seafood, immersing in Negombo’s vibrant culture.
During the trip we will be sharing twin rooms in 3* hotels on a half board basis as standard although there is an option to have a room to yourself for an additional £400.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Sri Lankan tea or a coffee, we take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards Dambulla city, which is the central point of the cultural triangle on the island. En-route to Dambulla, we’ll visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Take the opportunity to feed them and give them a bath at the nearby river.
In Dambulla, we’ll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside. It will start with a Tuk-Tuk ride towards the farmer’s house where we will enjoy the typical Sri Lankan countryside hospitality. Afterwards we have a canoeing boat ride across the lake to capture the beautiful scenery of Sigiriya.
This morning, we will visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), since it is the best time to witness and capture the sunrise. King Kasyapa (477 – 495 BC) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes.
This afternoon we have free time to relax or If you are interested, you could experience an Ayurvedic herbal massage or a national Park evening safari (extra charge)
Today is a fun packed day as we head to Kandy. En-route we visit the Royal Cave Temple (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), and the Matale Spice Garden.
Upon arrival in Kandy, we will visit the Temple of Tooth Relic (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE) and Kandy viewpoint. Evening to relax at the hotel.
After breakfast, we visit the Tiesh gem museum and get to know more about the world-renowned and most prestigious Sri Lankan gems mining process during a gem museum tour.
Next stop is the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, which is known as one of the best botanical gardens in Asia, then a walk through Kandy city centre and the fruit and vegetable market.
This evening we enjoy a cultural dance show which is inspired by Sri Lankan arts, traditional dance, and cultural heritage.
Today we have a free day to do exactly as we please. After a busy few days you can choose to chill around the pool, explore locally at your own pace or perhaps indulge in these optional activities ( additional charge)
In the morning, experience the thrilling adventure of White-Water Rafting on the Kelani River. This adrenaline-pumping activity takes you through scenic landscapes featuring Class II and III rapids.
Afterward, visit the Ambuluwawa Tower. Climb this impressive multi-cultural tower that spiral into the sky and enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains, forests, and rivers below. The tower is surrounded by lush flora and provides an awe-inspiring 360-degree perspective of the hill country.
En-route to Nuwara Eliya, while driving through the cold and misty hills that host lush green tea plantations, stop at a tea factory to observe the rich tradition of making Ceylon tea kept alive up to date. Make sure to end your factory visit in style over a perfectly blended cup of tea 🙂
Upon arrival at Nuwara Eliya we enjoy a tour of the city highlights and then have the evening to relax at the hotel.
This morning we will enjoy a spectacular train journey from Nanu-oya station to Ella village. It is known as one of the most picturesque hill country train journeys in the world (Train tickets will be arranged at the station / Class category is subject to availability).
Explore the village; Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village due to the fact that it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. The Nine Arch Bridge, a major tourist attraction in Ella, is a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel.

In the morning, you’ll visit Lipton’s Seat to discover stunning panoramic views over lush tea plantations from this famous viewpoint once favored by Sir Thomas Lipton himself. Perfect for a peaceful morning, Lipton’s Seat offers a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s tea heritage surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
In the afternoon if you are up to it, you will embark the hike to Little Adam’s Peak which is a moderate hike to Little Adam’s Peak rewards you with stunning 360-degree views of the Ella Gap. This experience provides both adventure and tranquility, with scenic views and cool mountain air.
Evening fun at Ella Village: Evening, you could chill out at the village center where there are lots of restaurants, pubs, and evening entertainment.
After an amazing trip through coconut palms, mountains, and waterfalls, you’ll reach the renowned beaches of Sri Lanka. Bentota, once a hidden gem, now features a few restaurants and pubs for visitors. This stunning location boasts white sands and coconut palms extending right to the water’s edge, resembling a postcard-perfect tropical paradise.
Enroute drive down to Galle, walk through this 16th-century Galle Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site with charming colonial architecture and cobblestone streets. The fort is a blend of Portuguese, Dutch, and British influences, with cafes, art galleries, and historical landmarks along the way. The historical Galle Lighthouse stands proudly on the southeast tip of the fort.
Upon arrival at your hotel, you can grab a towel to relax on the Beach while enjoying a cocktail or a chill beer under the shade of a palm tree.
Today we’ll visit a Turtle Hatchery Center where you can learn about and observe sea turtles at various stages of development, from hatchlings to adults, emphasizing efforts to protect endangered species.
Next experience embarks on a relaxing boat ride through the serene Madu River through the mangroves (red water trees), navigating past mangroves and small islands, where you’ll encounter wildlife, including birds and monitor lizards. Explore the local cinnamon industry and enjoy scenic island views
This morning we depart Bentota and head to The Capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo.
Explore Sri Lanka’s bustling capital with highlights such as Galle Face Green, Independence Memorial Hall, and Gangaramaya Temple. Visit the vibrant Pettah Market and take in the contrast between colonial buildings and modern skyscrapers.
After our tour we will depart for Negombo for our overnight stay.
After an early breakfast at our hotel we will take our private transfer to the airport for our flight home.
