5 Glorious Nights on Ischia Island with 2 full day luxury Island boat tours and thermal Spa Hotel

Meet at the airport and board our flight to Naples.

Upon our arrival at Naples airport we will transfer to the port and take the ferry crossing  (around 1 hour) to Ischia to our hotel The San Giovanni Terme.

In the heart of an Ischian pine wood and near the city centre, Hotel San Giovanni Terme features a wide range of thermal and wellness facilities. It includes a private beach available in spring and summer, and a restaurant.

The wellness centre is surrounded by greenery and includes a thermal swimming pool and a hydromassage pool. It also offers personalised treatments and includes Kneipp path, sensory showers, and a Turkish bath.

The restaurant cuisine is the pride of the San Giovanni hotel, offering typical recipes mixed with international and contemporary cuisine. Guests can also order snacks and light meals at the poolside bar. Wi-Fi is free in public areas.

Throughout the tour we will be staying in twin rooms but there is an option to have a room to yourself for the trip the total supplement will be £200

All rooms have balconies and en-suite bathrooms and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Breakfast is included each day.

It’s off for a glorious day at sea today as we sail the island of Ischia on a luxury boat with many stops around the island, soft drinks, Prosecco and aperitifs are all included.

– Citara Bay: A sunny bay famous for its golden beach and emerald waters. It is the ideal starting point for our journey, with spectacular views of the Ischia coast.

– Sorgeto Bay (Thermal Springs): A natural cove where hot thermal springs flow directly into the sea. Here you can immerse yourself in natural warm waters, a unique experience among the volcanic rocks.

– Sant’Angelo: An ancient fishing village with pastel-colored houses and car-free alleys.

We will stop in its picturesque harbor, where you can enjoy a coffee, an ice cream or take a walk in perfect dolce vita style.

– Grotta dello Smeraldo: A hidden sea cave where the sunlight, reflecting in the water, colors the skin an intense green. A magical play of light and sea.

– Castello Aragonese: The symbol of Ischia, a medieval fortress on a small island of volcanic rock. We will pass under its imposing walls for a truly fairy-tale panoramic view of the castle and the gulf, an excellent moment to take a souvenir photo.

Now whether you feel like relaxing around the resort with a good book, heading to one of the nearby beaches, being pampered at the hotel spa… It’s up to you. On our free days we generally tend to split into smaller groups so that everyone can get to see and do everything as they choose.

These are free days, but we will provide you with lots of information about places to see such as ….

A great bus route that runs around the island and lots of local places to visit.

There are many places all over the island to experience the therapeutic thermal baths, such as the Negombo Thermal baths which have lovely gardens perfect for relaxing in  or the Poseidon thermal park, down on Sorgeto beach we can relax in the thermal bubbles that spring up from the sea.

Also for those that would like to, why not take a boat tour to the Island of Capri for the day?

If you love to visit gardens then there are 2 wonderful choices, The Ravino gardens and Giardini La Mortella  – A wonderful mediterranean and tropical garden developed by Susana Walton, the argentinian wife of the British composer Sir William Walton. It is located in Forio (Ischia) and can be visited on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm, from April through late October.

– Pozzo Vecchio Beach: Also known as “the Postman’s Beach”, it became famous thanks to the film Il Postino by Massimo Troisi. A place full of poetry and cinematic charm.

– Caves under the Palazzo d’Avalos: We will sail under the sheer cliffs of the old prison, where there are hidden caves and coves ideal for swimming and snorkeling among the volcanic rocks.

– Baia della Corricella: The most iconic village of Procida, an explosion of pastel-colored houses overlooking the sea. Here we will stop to stroll through the alleys and enjoy lunch by the sea.

– Vivara Island: Protected nature reserve, connected by a bridge, Vivara is a corner of wild nature. Its emerald green waters are perfect for a dip or simply to relax in total tranquillity.

This morning lets visit the Castello Aragonese, From the outpost of the Syracuse Greek Hiero I to the conquest of Alfonso of Aragon, from the splendour of Vittoria Colonna’s wedding to the English bombing in 1809, from total abandonment to recovery through the intuition of a farsighted Ischian lawyer: twenty five centuries of history between churches, convents, prisons, lush gardens and breathtaking views, suspended between the sky and the sea in a timeless atmosphere. Tickets are 12 Euros per person and are not included so if you don’t fancy, you can enjoy free time…..

This morning we can check out and leave our luggage at the hotel  and have some free time before bidding farewell to the island of ischia as we head back to the mainland by boat and take our private transfer to the airport for our flight home.
