Itinerary
After meeting at the airport we will meet the rest of the group and board our flight to Tbilisi..
Upon arrival we will take our private transfer to our 4* hotel, we will be staying for 6 of the 7 nights and breakfast is included each morning.. There is a supplement of £170 for the 7 nights if you would like a room to yourself. Please let us know if you would when you RSVP.
There is a great amount to see, do and experience throughout this incredible country and we wanted to include all of the best bits of course. We will be based mainly in Tbilisi with one night in Kazbegi in the stunning Caucasus mountains.
As it will be late when we arrive we will check in and get some rest.
Tbilisi
This morning we set off on a full day highlights of Tbilisi tour for an unforgettable journey through Georgia’s rich history. Some of the stops included today are The old town of Tbilisi, Mtatsminda Park, Narikala Fortress; where we will take a trip back in time and enjoy stunning panoramic city views and Abanotubani, which is a great place to get lost in the streets and feel the local atmosphere.

We will visit the 12th century Metekhi Church, Sameba Cathedral, and Anchiskhati Basilica as well as enjoying a cable car ride.
There will be a lunch stop today at a traditional Georgian restaurant where the guide will be able to help us choose the best local dishes (lunch is not included).
Uplistsikhe, Gori and Mtskheta
Today we discover Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn stone town showcasing remarkable cave residences, temples, and an amphitheater.
Visit Gori’s Stalin Museum to find out more about the life and impact of Joseph Stalin.
Take a journey to Mtskheta to see the Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral
There will be a lunch stop today at a traditional Georgian restaurant where the guide will be able to help us choose the best local dishes (lunch is not included).

Rainbow Mountains and David Gareja Monastery
Today we explore the beautiful Udabno village, a unique Georgian village set in the desert, home to the Svan people, the stunning Kupatadze salt lake, and the rainbow mountains.
There will be a lunch stop today at a traditional Georgian restaurant where the guide will be able to help us choose the best local dishes (lunch is not included)
We have plenty of time this afternoon to explore One of the most ancient and extraordinary monasteries in the world – David-Gareji monastery complex is located on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border, 70 km from Tbilisi and is carved into the rocks. David-Gareji dates back to the VI century. The history of the monastery has secrets, ups and downs, and exciting moments that have had a significant impact on the history and life of Georgia.the rainbow mountains.
PLEASE NOTE: this tour includes medium level hiking.

Tiblisi – Kazbegi- Gudauri
After breakfast and checking out we start our journey to the Caucasus mountains, Explore Kazbegi, the mountainous region of Georgia.
Our first stop is Zhinvali Water Reservoir on the Georgian Military Highway. The Soviets constructed the dam in the 1980s, and it is a beautiful place to take amazing pictures.
Visit Ananuri Fortress, the Eristavis (Dukes) seat of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty that ruled the area around the 13th century. See stunning views of the fortress and Zhinvali Reservoir. Have lunch in Pasanauri, the homeland of one of Georgia’s traditional foods: Khinkali.
This evening we will check into our hotel in Kazbegi in the mountains where we will be staying for 1 night.

Dariali Monastery Complex and Gergeti Trinity Church
If you are an early bird, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the stunning mountain scenery with Mount Kazbegi, standing at 5047 metres.


After breakfast and checking out we drive through Dariali Gorge, one of the iconic places in the Greater Caucasus Mountains of Georgia and visit the Dariali Monastery Complex.
Explore one of Georgia’s most beautiful places, Gergeti Trinity Church in Kazbegi where we will have a panoramic view of the whole valley from the church. It is one of Georgia’s most iconic attractions!
There will be a lunch stop during the day (not included) and we will arrive back in Tbilisi in the evening.
Kakheti Wine Region
Today it’s all about the food and wine!
Our first stop is the village of Badiauri, where we will visit a local bakery and taste delicious Georgian bread and cheese.
Next we visit Bodbe Convent. According to the legend, it is built on the burial place of Saint Nino—a Saint for Georgians who converted their religion to Christianity.
Enjoy a walking tour in Sighnaghi, known as “The City of Love.” and discover ” The Great Wall of Georgia.” After the walking tour, we will enjoy lunch with beautiful view of Alazani Valley and try traditional Georgian food (not included)
This afternoon we visit a local family winery for a tour and tastings. The vine that belongs to the family is over 150 years old.
The last stop is Corporation Kindzmarauli. This winery’s history dates back to 1533, and it produced wine exclusively for the royal family. We have a tour of the winery and wine degustation for four different wines.

Today we have a free day and after checking out we can leave our luggage safely at the hotel before doing some last minute sightseeing or souvenir shopping before taking our private transfer to the airport for our flight home.

You need to book your own flights and they are with EasyJet, they are currently £256 not including luggage.I would advise to book your flight as soon as possible after booking on to the trip as they are likely to rise the sooner we get to the date of departure. Below is the flight that the tour leader will be going on.
If you would prefer to travel from an alternative UK airport or book a different flight, that is absolutely fine. Please let us know when you book. You will need to arrange your own hotel transfers.
